No they aren't that customer friendly they just recently started taking credit cards
Gushi now accepts credit cards! I believe they take Visa and MasterCard, but not American Express.
WORST PLACE.. no customers and it takes for ever to give you your food..! And customer service is terrible..! If you don’t believe me come and experience the worst service ever..!
Fantastic spot to get food when in a rush. The service is rapid, pricing is fair, excellent ambience. Will visit here again
Been going here since high school. Beef steak teriyaki plate w/ all salad is my jam. I remember people used to steal bottles of their teriyaki sauce off the tables. So much that the owner has to start limiting the amount they kept on the tables. Speaks to how good it really is. Only problem is finding parking in Westwood.
Open late. The kalbi was tasty and plentiful. The kimchi was nice and the service was good. Heated outdoor seating makes for a comfortable experience in the heart of Westwood. Highly recommended.
The "plate" portion was huge, easily enough for 2 people to share. I ordered the combination plate with chicken & beef and it came with white rice, salad and kimchee. The salad and dressing was warm (not a fan) and the kimchee was not my cup of tea. The teriyaki sauce was really the only flavor the meat and rice had. A little pricey in my opinion for plain meat and rice. Probably won't be back. 3 stars for the portion size. Overall more like a 2
I got the Gushi bowl and I thought it was great. There were some pieces of fat, but overall it was really enjoyable. It's a huge amount of food. It definitely isn't very fancy but it's delicious nonetheless.
The server was very attentive and friendly. The food were gorgeous and tasty. Both of us love the Kimchi Pork Belly plate. delicious, and the spiciness was just right.
Good portion for the price. Their bulgogi and squid are very nice
great food. I always get half chicken half steak with extra sauce and it’s delicious. usually ready in 15 minutes, which is a plus, considering how much business they do. always recommend this place. will be back.
Who would think that a hole in the wall outdoor BBQ could be so good? This place is really really good. We had the Gushi bowl and Teriyaki beef. The portions were huge and the environment was fun. Lots of students and locals. Prices were a little high (average $12.00) but the value and bang for the buck was great. Highly recommend.
I really liked their dishes and customer service, good location to my house. The employees are always very welcoming. Would recommend to others.
Finest spot to grab some food when in a hurry. The customer service is prompt, prices are reasonable, excellent ambience. Would recommend to others
Cheap meal for Korean food in Westwood. Decent taste and huge portions, so definitely worth a bang for your buck.
What a gem of a find! Don’t the the divey appearance fool you. Super affordable menu for yummy Korean BBQ.I had the Kalbi platter, which is the beef short ribs. Meet was perfectly grilled and heaped on top of rice. It comes with a side of kimchi and small salad. Kimchi was just the way I like it, slightly fermented.Great value for just $17. I’ve been to fancier restaurants with the same food charging more money that couldn’t match up to the quality here. Highly recommend!
Gushi processed card x2. When I wanted to discuss lady hung up twice on me. NOT customer friendly. Will not visit again
Absolutely amazing for a great price
they have a really good combo plate. beef and chicken teriyaki. I get it once a week. only thing is that the owner is a little stingy on sauces. still 5/5.
Gushi is a great and quick bite at a fair price. Expect limited seating, especially at busy hours, with some tables needing replacing. However, the food is excellent and the portions are huge. I highly recommend the combo plate with their beef bugolgi (they call it Gushi) and chicken teriyaki. The plates come with a side of great and spicy kimchi as well as a side salad with ginger dressing. Service can be a bit iffy. This, along with their available seating caused me to take one star.
Always my first choice to grab a quick lunch or dinner. They are never stingy with the meat haha, especially when I order a combo plate. Rice underneath the meat is fully covered. Sometimes the chicken is a bit dry and hard but taste great with their sauce! They provide two kinds of sauce, one spicy one non spicy.Bibimbap is another great choice with plenty of vegetables. Tofu soup is much better than I expect.Recommended: beef tofu soup, plate with chicken and gushi, and bibimbap.A few outdoor seats and no indoor seat
Always delicious. Love #4
One of my favorite places in Westwood, I get the combo bowl. It's like a to go container of steamy Asian comfort food. Also nice they are no longer cash only and take Visa MC
Surprisingly busy despite the late hour. Saw lots of of people picking up food after calling ahead; good way to save time. Chicken teriyaki had a great grilled taste, very generous portions with the "plate". Beware the special secret BBQ sauce that comes in tiny cups -- POWWW!
Great food. Hard to get a seat. (Spicy Pork pictured)
The food is amazingly delicious. Large portions. Definitely will go back.
Great Korean food! The food had a depth of flavor and a kick that few places dare to supply.
I love the food, and I like their hours. They are usually open on the holidays, so I can get something to eat when most everywhere else is closed. Get the Gushi plate (#3). It's the best on the menu.
I love the food here- it’s amazing. It’s so good and fresh and authentic. Only thing is that the customer service is not as good as I would expect. I asked for water and the employee told me to “move over”.
My favourite place in town!!! Homemade Teriyaki sauce is super good!
Food is absolutely delicious but the downside is the place only takes cash. Food can take a long time. The steak is delicious and juicy. The chicken is tender and fresh. The seating can be limited during lunch hour. Will definitely come back again.
I love their beef with teriyaki sauce. I ordered a Beef Steak Teriyaki Plate. The price is very cheap and you can have a amazing Korean dishes.
Great food and everything is hot and fresh.
We enjoy eating out. Last night we came to this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We spent a delightful time there with first-rate dishes and an experienced crew and a distinguished chef. We put this place in our list and we shall no doubt come back very soon. We highly recommend.
Food was amazing, delicious. If you are craving some Asian cuisine this is the right place to go. Different selection of meat and they have so many options you can choose from. Small place though.
Tried the gushi and beef steak teriyaki, recommend beef steak teriyaki. The beef steak teriyaki is excellent. The salad is ok, and kimchi is good. Overall, good price with a lot of protein and delicious meal, you can just grab and go or seat outside and enjoy the street view.
These prices aren’t real that are in the internet It’s a lot more expensive than published. Also I asked if they could substitute noodles instead of rice. No way was the reply. I asked for a small sample of the Korean Kimchi and the girls reply was $2.15 additional for a tablespoon size serving. The rice was clumped and had been cooked hours before. The meat was cheap and tough and cost more than a delicious Rib Eye Steak at Vons
Would absolutely recommend trying this place. Fantastic atmosphere, delightful food, awesome service. Kudos.
Huge portion sizes! Probably enough for 1.5 meals. I'd recommend the spicy squid or the beef plate. Haven't had the bulgogi but I hear that one is also good. The place is cash only though so have it on you or use the sketchy ATM behind the building. Limited seating.
Exceptional and fresh food, I like the ambience this place has, and the cashiers were friendly. I will surely come back in the future.
Very delicious and filling location. My go to choice is the Teriyaki steak plate~ But their bimbimbap and tteokbokki are also pretty large in portion! The tteokbokki is also not soft in the spice zone making for a warm and spicy meal. Their kimchi is also delicious!
Nice set up and great food!
Tasty Korean in a casual, outdoor setting. Gushi is perfect for that bulgogi fix, and the kimchi pork belly is also a winner! Good flavor, good value; I'll definitely be coming back here. If you're looking for authentic, it's definitely a step up from Bibigo.
so much food for so little money!!!if you like korean / japanese food...this is the spot.i always go for the gushi combo with xtra kimchee
Deliciousness! I had the combo bowl of beef, chicken and rice. If you haven't tried Gushi, make plans and it's always nice with friends.
Take out kitchen with Korean/Japanese fusion menu. I tried the combo teriyaki platter and loved it. Will definitely be a regular!
quick and easy, well-priced, and most importantly very delicious korean food!
Absolutely loved it! Very tasty and high quality food for a reasonable price. Very nice service too!
The beef bowl is my favorite. I like the yaki udon and ramen too. Yuk gae jang had no taste. The menu here is overpriced for the amount of food they give. Could get better Korean food at Ktown.
Beef had no flavor and saw a bug crawling in the box.
I just enjoy their food. I always get good customer service there. The place is neat and the staff members are always super nice. Highly recommended.
I ordered a Kalbi plate and half the pieces were raw. It was red and I couldn't even but into it. I called them to let them know and they said "what do you want us to do about it." I told them I'd like a new order and the guy on the phone literally said "sorry we can't do anything about that. We have a lot of people here and I have to go." And then hung up the phone before I can say anything. No joke.
